Lower servicing & fuel costs

The Hyundai Kona EV does not have a petrol motor, which means that you will not have to pay for fuel. There are also fewer moving parts that need to be serviced. This will save you money at a service centre and give you more time on the road.

Regenerative braking

The Kona Electric Series II is equipped with regenerative braking, which is controlled via paddle shifters on the steering wheel. This allows you to recharge the battery using kinetic energy captured when the car is coasting or when you are braking. This will increase your energy efficiency and extend your driving range!

LED Head Lights & DRL’s

For both a stylish look and excellent illumination, the Hyundai Kona EV comes with a range of powerful light options. Elite models include bi-LED versions for even greater lighting performance. All models include LED Daytime Running Lights.

17″ Alloy Wheels

Emphasising its eco-credentials are newly designed aerodynamic 17″ alloy wheels. These dynamic wheels are standard on both models and are paired with new low rolling resistance Michelin tyres for improved range.

10.25″ Touchscreen

Elite models feature an intuitive and advanced 10.25″ touchscreen multimedia system, which incorporates satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. This touchscreen is of the floating variety to improve visibility.

Ventilated Front Seats

Never let yourself overheat with the added luxury of ventilated seats in the Elite. Featuring 3-levels of ventilation, this system is perfect for hot weather and allows the leather seats to quickly cool down to a comfortable temperature.

Heated Front & Back Seats

Elite models include heated seating surfaces. This includes heated front seats with three different levels of heat and a heated steering wheel. New to the Series II model is the addition of heated rear seats, to add another level of luxury.

Proximity Key with Push Start

With the Hyundai Kona EV, the days of fumbling for your keys are well and truly over. Push button ignition allows you to turn the vehicle on and off at the touch of the button – without having to take your keys from your bag or pocket.

Wireless Phone Charging

For customers with wireless compatible smartphones, the Elite has wireless charging capability. Simply place your phone on the wireless charging pad and your phone will automatically start charging itself.

Drive Mode System

The Series II has a drive mode system that adjusts a range of vehicle settings and characteristics including power output, steering feel and brake regeneration settings in order to optimise the vehicle to suit the driver.

Safety

Smart Cruise Control (SCC)

Cruise control that not only maintains a speed, but also slows and even stops to meet a pre-set distance to the car in front.

Forward Collision-Avoidance (FCA)

Maintain a safe stopping distance with cars, bikes and pedestrians. First a warning will be sounded followed by braking intervention.

Blind-spot Collision Avoidance (BCA)

When driving at a speed of 30km/h or higher, the BCA function will alert the driver to vehicles that enter the blind-spot and will even provide intervention if required.

High Beam Assist (HBA)

LED high beams and low beams automatically adjust to meet the needs of the environment and surrounds. (Limited model.)

Safe Exit Assist (SEA)

Safe Exit Assist blocks attempts to disengage the child safety lock and prevents the rear door from opening when it is unsafe to do so.

Front & Rear Park Assist

The Kona thinks of everything. To help with parking in tight spots, four ultrasonic sensors at the front (Elite only) and rear of the Kona are automatically activated when you select reverse, giving an audible warning if and where objects are detected.
